<\/p>\n

The opening of the 2026 call for proposals<\/strong> for CDTI Innterconecta STEP<\/strong> (Centre for the Development of Technology and Innovation) is IMMINENT<\/strong> and will have a total budget allocation of \u20ac138 million<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The objective<\/strong> of this programme is the funding of Regional Consortia<\/strong> working on collaborative R&D projects<\/strong>, with an interregional cooperation<\/strong> approach, led by companies, pursuing relevant research based on disruptive technologies<\/strong> that propose solutions to strategic challenges in the areas identified by Regulation (EU) 2024\/795 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 29 February 2024 establishing the Strategic Technologies for Europe Platform (STEP)<\/strong>, with the aim of improving the strategic and competitive positioning of Spanish industry, while fostering public-private cooperation.<\/p>\n

Below, we provide an advance overview of the main features of this programme<\/u><\/strong>:<\/p>\n

BENEFICIARIES<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Business consortia made up of at least 2 companies and a maximum of 6, with two of them independent from each other and with at least one SME.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Projects must be carried out in at least two of the Autonomous Communities indicated in the call for proposals (Andalusia, Balearic Islands, Canary Islands, Castilla-La Mancha, Castile and Le\u00f3n, Valencian Community, Extremadura, Galicia and the Region of Murcia).<\/strong><\/p>\n

PROJECT TYPES<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Collaborative R&D&I projects<\/strong>, led by companies, aimed at developing original products, processes or services that are superior to those already existing, and aligned with one of the STEP technology areas (Digital technologies; Clean and resource-efficient technologies; and Biotechnologies<\/strong>).<\/p>\n

TYPE AND INTENSITY OF AID<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Non-repayable grants of up to 80% for small companies, up to 75% for medium-sized companies, and up to 65% for large companies,<\/strong> depending on the type of project and collaboration.<\/p>\n

SUBMISSION DEADLINE <\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Application period. Opening expected in mid-October, with a 1-month deadline.<\/p>\n
