Torres Quevedo Aids.
PURPOSE OF THE PROGRAM
To favor the professional development of researchers, and to stimulate the demand in the private sector for personnel sufficiently prepared to undertake R&D plans and projects, and to help the consolidation of newly created technology companies.
BENEFICIARIES
The following entities may be beneficiaries of the aid: businesses (including “spin-offs” and the Young Innovative Companies), station-wide technology centers, support centers for technological innovation at the state level, business associations and science and technology parks.
TYPES OF PROJECT
Hiring of PhDs to develop industrial research projects, experimental development projects or preliminary feasibility studies
REQUIREMENTS OF THE PROJECTS
- The aid will have a duration of three years.
- The aid must be used to carry out R&D activities in addition to those that the company is currently carrying out, and the need and the incentive effect of the aid must be justified.
- It is possible to apply for aids for PhDs already hired by the applicant at the time of submitting the request for this aid, provided that the person was hired after 09/02/2017, the end date of the 2016 call for aid applications.
FINANCING CONCEPTS
The aid will be used to co-finance the salary and the employer’s Social Security contribution for the researchers hired during each of the annuities.
TYPE AND INTENSITY OF AID
- The amount of the aid will be determined based on the cost of hiring (gross salary plus Social Security employer’s contribution), the type of project and the type of entity, taking into account the following gross maximum aids according to the type of beneficiary: 70 to 50% for Industrial Research projects and Feasibility Studies and 45 to 25% for Experimental Development projects.
- The maximum contracting cost that can be financed by aid can not exceed €55,000/year, without prejudice to the fact that the gross salary specified in the contract may result in a higher hiring expense. Only hiring costs for annual gross salaries equal to or greater than €18,000 will be eligible for financing.
APPLICATION PERIOD
The period for submission of applications will be from January 11 to February 1 2018.

FINALIDAD DEL PROGRAMA
Favorecer la carrera profesional de los investigadores, así como estimular la demanda en el sector privado de personal suficientemente preparado para acometer planes y proyectos de I+D, y ayudar a la consolidación de empresas tecnológicas de reciente creación.
BENEFICIARIOS
Podrán ser beneficiarias de las ayudas, las siguientes entidades: empresas (incluidas las “spin-off” y las Jóvenes Empresas Innovadoras), centros tecnológicos de ámbito estatal, centros de apoyo a la innovación tecnológica de ámbito estatal, asociaciones empresariales y parques científicos y tecnológicos.
TIPOS DE PROYECTO
Contratación laboral de doctores que desarrollen proyectos de investigación industrial, de desarrollo experimental o estudios de viabilidad previos.
REQUISITOS DE LOS PROYECTOS
- Las ayudas tendrán una duración de tres años.
- Las ayudas deberán aplicarse para llevar a cabo actividades de I+D adicionales respecto de las que venga realizando la empresa, debiendo justificarse la necesidad y el efecto de incentivación de la ayuda.
- Se podrá solicitar una ayuda para doctores ya contratados por la entidad solicitante en el momento de presentar la solicitud a esta actuación, siempre que la contratación se haya realizado con posterioridad al 09/02/2017, fecha fin de la convocatoria 2016.
CONCEPTOS FINANCIABLES
Las ayudas se destinarán necesariamente a cofinanciar el salario y la cuota empresarial de la Seguridad Social de los investigadores contratados durante cada una de las anualidades.
TIPO E INTENSIDAD DE AYUDA
- La cuantía de las ayudas se determinará en función del coste de contratación (retribución bruta más cuota empresarial de la Seguridad Social), del tipo de proyecto y del tipo de entidad, teniendo en cuenta las siguientes intensidades brutas máximas de subvención según el tipo de beneficiario: del 70 al 50 % para proyectos de Investigación Industrial y Estudios de Viabilidad y del 45 al 25% para proyectos de Desarrollo Experimental.
- El coste de contratación máximo financiable por ayuda no podrá ser superior a 55.000 €/año, sin perjuicio de que la retribución bruta que figure en el contrato pueda resultar en un gasto de contratación superior. Solo serán financiables aquellos costes de contratación de retribuciones brutas anuales iguales o superiores a 18.000 €.
PLAZO DE PRESENTACIÓN
El plazo de presentación de las solicitudes será del 11 de enero al 1 de febrero de 2018.
