Industrial and Cultural Heritage

The rehabilitation and restoration of architectural and industrial heritage is a responsibility for IMPULSO, which we undertake on the basis of our experience and practice obtained over a long time dedicated to interventions in unique buildings. A historical knowledge of the architectural and industrial heritage, a good initial diagnosis and the most appropriate technical resolution of the details and preventive treatments is the basis for the success of the projects, which require qualified equipment and an exhaustive control of the work methodology. IMPULSO relies on new technologies for the development of these projects. Within its methodology, it integrates BIM as a working medium and is supported by the use of 3D laser scanners and point clouds, as well as photogrammetry and advanced methods of representation and analysis of the heritage for the proper development of the work.

The company has been recognized with the Europa Nostra Prize for its rehabilitation and restoration project of the MSP Thermal Power Plant in Ponferrada, converting the country’s first thermoelectric plant (1919) into the National Energy Museum. It has also participated in another flagship project for the UN, which consisted of technical advice for the rehabilitation and restoration of the Palais des Nations, the UN Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland.
