Description

The project involves the design of a petrol station providing refuelling facilities for cars and trucks, as well as car washing, vacuuming and air/water facilities, together with a service building.

The refuelling areas for light and heavy vehicles are covered by separate canopies, as they are designed as clearly differentiated spaces. The light-vehicle refuelling area is located next to the service building and comprises three pump islands and an electric vehicle charging point, close to a landscaped area and the parking spaces. The truck refuelling area, meanwhile, is located to the south of the site as a separate facility and also comprises three pump islands.

The car washing and vacuuming facilities are located close to the south façade of the main building. These consist of prefabricated modules, with two covered bays provided for each service.

The service building is a rectangular structure measuring 6 x 15 m externally. It is located in the north-eastern part of the site, next to the light-vehicle canopy. Its external appearance is designed to blend with the surrounding industrial environment, featuring clean lines and a continuous envelope of light-coloured metal panels. Façade openings are primarily determined by functional requirements, except on the main façade, where larger openings have been incorporated to provide natural light to the public area.

The internal layout reflects the building’s two types of access: public access and restricted access for petrol station staff. The main entrance is located on the west façade, closest to the vehicle refuelling pumps, and is protected by the canopy covering the pump islands. A second entrance on the north façade provides independent access to the accessible toilet when the café is closed. This entrance is conveniently located close to the accessible parking spaces on the northern side of the site.
