Asturias Technology Park celebrates 35 years, consolidated as one of the main hubs for innovation and business development in northern Spain. It currently hosts 140 companies and institutions, generates over 3,400 jobs, and exceeds 620 million euros in combined annual turnover.
To mark this anniversary, the Sekuens Agency organized the PT Asturias Open Days 2026, an event designed to foster knowledge exchange and collaboration among companies, institutions, and professionals.
In this context, IMPULSO’s CEO, Francisco Cuervo, participated alongside David González, Executive Director of the Sekuens Agency, in a discussion panel dedicated to analyzing the opportunities that the defense industry and dual-use technologies represent for Asturias.
During his speech, Francisco Cuervo highlighted the strengths of our region to face this new scenario: a solid industrial base, companies with extensive technological capabilities, qualified talent, and close collaboration between the business sector, universities, and knowledge centers. He also emphasized the importance of continuing to work to consolidate this position and maintain Asturias’ competitiveness in an increasingly demanding international context.
For IMPULSO, this anniversary holds a particularly symbolic meaning. The company established itself in Asturias Technology Park in 2002 with a team of 14 people. Today, 24 years later, we are 90 professionals developing engineering and technology consulting projects for national and international clients from this environment.
Our trajectory has run parallel to the Park’s growth, a space that has fostered collaboration between companies, attracted talent, and developed high value-added activities.
From IMPULSO, we want to congratulate Asturias Technology Park on these 35 years of history and thank all the individuals and institutions who have contributed to making it a benchmark for innovation and business growth in Asturias.
