Feasibility study for the construction and operation of an Innovation Park for shrimp farming in Colombia.

Description

The work consists of consultancy and specialized technical assistance to the shrimp and fish farming sector of the country, with the aim of increasing productivity, improving techniques and production methods and ultimately increasing the competitiveness of the sector, making it a world-class sector and a net exporter.

In this regard, the most important part of the work consists of designing and doing the basic engineering of a pilot plant, which will be used by entrepreneurs to make aquaculture production tests on a commercial scale.

The work begins with a visit and diagnosis of the main shrimp facilities in the country, both in the Pacific and in the Caribbean area, with the objective of observing their main weaknesses in situ.

This is followed by a market study at national and global level on the supply and demand of shrimp, and current main trends. The main successful technologies are identified worldwide, by conducting technological missions in Asia and America to establish direct contact with new technologies and adapt these technologies to the reality of Colombia.

Subsequently, the basic engineering of the pilot plant and the conceptual design and organizational structure of the Innovation Park will be carried out.
